Imperfect Subjunctive of German verb sein
The conjugation of sein (be, exist) in subjunctive II is: ich wäre, du wär(e)st, er wäre, wir wären, ihr wär(e)t, sie wären. As an irregular, strong verb with ablaut -ä- the subjunctive stem -wär- is used. The subjunctive endings -e, -est, -e, -en, -et, -en are appended to this stem. The conjugation of these forms conforms to the grammatical rules for verbs in the subjunctive II tense.

German teacher says: German Perfekt and Plusquamperfekt are used a little bit differently from English Present Perfect and Past Perfect, so naming them as those may lead to mistakes.
More importantly: wäre/wär(e)st/... are the forms of the Konjunktiv II (as noted under "Verb Forms") and not the Simple Past/Präteritum of the Konjunktiv I (as noted under "Subjunctive I).
I'm not guaranteeing everything else is right, these two/three mistakes were just very obvious
